On Thursday March 5th, WebBand DSL customers experienced a short DSL outage. Here’s an official explanation from our IT staff:

E-Mail Address Spoofing January 15, 2009

Question
About two weeks ago, I received spam from what appeared to be my own email account. The address was the same as my email account, and I thought it was weird, but just used the Yahoo! Delete Spam button. Should I be concerned about my email account? If so, what should I do? I like my email address, have used it for years, and don’t particularly want to change it, but will if I have to.

DSL Outage (September 27) September 25, 2008
Posted by WebBand in DSL, WebBand, outage.add a comment
Qwest has informed us that they will be upgrading some equipment on Saturday September 27th. They have decided to make these changes from 12:00am to 1:30am. Expect your DSL to be down during these hours. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
If you find your service is unavailable on Saturday morning, please power cycle your DSL modem by removing power to it, waiting 30 seconds and then returning power to the modem. It will take approximately 30 seconds to regain a connection. In most cases, this will bring your connection back up.
Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience.
Wireless Outage September 24, 2008

We just received notice that Air-Pipe, WebBand’s wireless provider, is doing some work on the Mt. Spokane tower today between 1pm and 5pm. This work MUST be done in the daylight and will probably affect service. You might experience interruptions of 10-15 minutes between these hours.
We apologize for any inconvenience – the upgrades should provide better service in the future.
This is only for those customers pointed to Mt. Spokane!
